  • from 1955

The subsequent history of the production of precision castings in Jihlava dates back to 1955. The precision casting foundry by means of a sacrificial model was established as part of the production of parts for the parent company MOTORPAL s.p. The reason for the introduction of this technology was the reduction of labor and the price of manufactured parts for injection pumps of diesel engines, which were the main final product of Motorpal Jihlava.

  • Today

In 2003, the foundry was bought by the strategic investor Transa, s.r.o., a representative of the world group SUN OIL – SUNOCO, one of the world's largest producers of fossil energy raw materials. The new owner immediately started continuous investment programs to introduce new products and increase quality guarantees. The goal of final implementation in 2010 was set so that IEG would become a permanent partner of the largest European automotive and shipbuilding industrial companies.
2008, the year of the crisis, meant a dramatic decrease in orders for the foundry, but it was successfully stopped and a year later the production of precision castings was already at the level of previous years. This experience was the cause of a deeper focus of the foundry management on optimizing processes in terms of labor and customer service. Currently, IEG is once again consolidating its stable position within the Central European area.
